My mother worked at a school and therefore was invited to free college events. I came with her one night when she went to a party on one of the boats.
The music was pumping and the Hors D’Oeuvre were simple and delicious. I had to painfully talk to my mother’s coworkers about school and their kids, so it wasn’t the most fun experience.
The fun moment came when I saw the lights of the city from the viewpoint of being on the river.
It was the beginning of seeing Cincinnati in a new light (literally). Instead of towering intimidating buildings, I finally saw the city for what it is. Bold. Genuine. Beautiful. I have become SO proud of being from this area and hope to inspire everyone to look around them. No matter where you are in life, you only have the moment and everything around you.
